Carb Diet
A common myth in diet recipes is that carbohydrates should be avoided at all costs. However, it does provide a big impact on blood sugar levels but one does not need to avoid them completely. Choosing the right carbohydrate is key. Generally, foods to be avoided are white bread, rice, pasta snack foods, candy, and soda. Instead, opt for high-fiber complex carbohydrates also known as slow-release carbohydrates. These type of carbs are digested slowly that prevents the body from producing too much insulin. So instead of the usual carbs you intake, try these healthy alternatives: brown rice, bran muffin, rolled oats, whole-wheat pasta, and sweet potatoes.
