Wine is a kind of alcohol made by fermenting grapes. There is a large variety of red and white wines available in the market. You usually consume wine during a religious celebration that is a tradition for some or in parties. Wine is good to savour and you can drink wine while having food too. A normal intake of wine is beneficial for your health and does not cause any harm to your brain or body. Wine is also used while cooking a particular kind of food or french cooking as well as specialtype of chocolates. However, there are certain uses of wine that might be unfamiliar to you. Let's elaborate.
-
There can be times that you have stored your bottle of wine for a longer duration, waiting for the right time to hit the cork. When you finally open the bottle, if it tastes too vinegary, do not drink or throw away this wine. The spoilt or left over wine can be used for several purposes that you never even thought of. If you accidentally drop red wine on your clothes or on the table cloth, you might not be able to possibly get rid of the stain. In such a situation, you can use the rest of the red wine as a fabric dye. Pour the wine in a bowl and let it boil on the gas stove for some time. Place in the fabric and stir it with a wooden spoon. Your fabric will get a permanent pink or mauve colour, depending on the kind of wine.

Red wine possesses properties that work as a component to smoothen your skin too. Women can directly apply the red wine on their face or pour it in a bath tub before taking a bath in it. This will help clean and soften the skin. Many beauticians use red wine as a product during facial therapies because it vitalises the skin. The alcohol in the wine kills all the impurities. Hence, it can also be used for cleaning fruits and vegetables as well. If you immerse the fruits and vegetables in a bowl of wine for some time, then it will kill all the germs on the surface of these eatables.
-
When white wine gets spoilt, it is on its verge of becoming vinegar. Vinegar is popularly known to be able to clean glass items. You can use this white wine to clean your glass windows, doors, mirrors and tables. It offers shine to the surface of the glass items, leaving behind no hints of stain. The alcohol in this wine also aids in cleaning the oil and grease stains on the floor. Simply pour white wine on the stain, leave it for some time and wipe it clean.

The most important thing to take note of is, "Never cook with a wine that you wouldn't drink ". If you don't enjoy the taste while you drink it, you are certainly not going to like it while eating in your food. Next important tip is - "Don't use labeled cooking wines, because they taste very poor, usually when loaded with SALT and other additions. When you cook with wine, the heat will reduce it down to these flavors.

So always remember to stick with traditional red wines.
Once you are in a store, do not feel that you must buy extremely expensive bottle. Even I would not encourage you to go for those cheap $5 bottles. Obviously a cheap bottle will taste cheap and your meal will taste even cheaper. So try settling for a medium. Good wine is best used on red meat and other game meats although they could also be used on a long list of other dishes as well. -
Red wine always smells so good. When choosing wine, always be aware that you'll want to step up a level from your daily cooking because you really want the flavor of the wine to come through in the meal, so make sure that you choose a wine that you'd be able to drink. The best red wine choices for traditional dishes will hail from the same country as the dish itself is from.

Some of the famous red wine recipes are- Risotto, Red Wine Pot Roast, Lambs' Kidneys in Red Wine, Red Wine Cocktails and many more! Barbara red wine is perfect with pizza, pasta, lasagna and lemon chicken. Pinot Noir is not well matched with spicy foods such as Indian, instead it is ideal with Salmon, tuna, lamb and duck. Shiraz is great with a meal of barbecue, peppered red meats and sausage but should be avoided with fish. Over the last few decades red wine has also increasingly become one of the main ingredients for some fruity flirty cocktails as well and some sophisticated long drinks as it adds a depth of flavor that many spirits fail to do.

Whichever recipe you decide to try, it is also important to experiment with the cocktails to ensure you get some that are right for you and your evening. Also remember that, not to get discouraged by the ideal. Using good red wine on your dishes will turn those into special cuisines and not necessarily luxurious should be used, but a bit cheaper ones will do the magic!
