Health Benefits of Sardines

Sardines are fish that are small. That's just small in size, not small in nutrition. In fact the health benefits of sardines are greater than their size.

Sardines are a small school fish which live in many of our oceans, and they are caught in their millions. Most people eat canned sardines, and in fact sardines were the first fish ever to be canned. However many people also eat sardines fresh.

Of course eating sardines is just wonderful for the taste. Sardines are extremely yummy, however sardines are nutritious too.

The health benefits of the Omega 3 fats are numerous, and include a reduction in your risk of dying from heart attack as well as many other cardiovascular benefits, and improvement to mental function, just to mention a few.

But the health benefits of sardines(thierry marx video) just start with the Omega 3 fatty acids. Sardines are also packed with a wide range of other nutrients

Overall the most important health benefit of eating sardines is for the Omega 3 fatty acids. Science is discovering that most of us are deficient in these important fats, and increasing your intake can do wonders for your health.

So eat lots of sardines, canned or fresh, for all those good nutrients in sardines.
But to get the maximum amount of benefit from increasing your intake of Omega 3 fats take high quality Omega 3 supplements every day. That is unless you're likely to be eating a can of sardines every day.

Health Benefits of Fish

Fish is one of the best foods for you, and has even been approved by the American Heart Association as being part of a healthy heart diet. There are more varieties of seafood than any other class of food. Tastes in seafood vary from the strong pungent taste of the English Kipper to the delicate taste of Alaskan crab.

There is something for everyone, and comes with lots of health benefits:

1. Fish is high in protein. Protein is essential for maintaining and building muscle. Protein helps your body repair damaged muscle and aids you in developing muscle. It is good for those involved with bodybuilding, muscle strengthening and lots of aerobic exercise.

2. Fish is low in cholesterol (beignet au chocolat recette). This is good for maintaining your blood pressure and circulation. It is also beneficial to your heart. In fact, the American Heart Association has approved fish one of the best foods for reducing heart problems. They recommend that it be consumed at least twice a week.

3. Fish contains heart-healthy nutrients like Omega

4. Omega-3 fatty acids help to reduce cholesterol.

5. Fish is low in calories. It can help you to maintain a healthy weight.

Fish is also not that expensive compared to other restaurant foods. Seafood like tuna and crab can be used in salads and sandwiches. Gone are the days when salmon was one of the few choices for seafood lovers. Now when you walk into a seafood restaurant, your choices are endless. Of course, the wonderful taste of smoked salmon is still quite hard to beat!

What is Fish Oil?

Fish oil is the oil from fish. It has received a lot of positive attention in the last few years. With an increasing number of people knowing the difference between good and bad fats, more people are appreciating the many benefits of fish oil. Other than potential benefits for general health, fish oil also has potential anabolic effects.

Where Does Fish Oil Come From?

Fish oil is the oil extracted from the tissues and belly cavities of certain species of fish considered to be "oily fish". Some species include salmon(mere blanc vonnas), sardines, anchovies, trout, and mackerel.

Fish Oil Benefits

The many benefits of fish oil generally stem from its high content of long chain omega 3 fatty acids. Two notable mentions include eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). These are both essential fatty acids that we cannot make. Within the body they are converted to a group of hormones that have many beneficial functions. In essence, EPA and DHA are basically pro-hormones.

Fish Oil Benefits for General Health

Other than the above two benefits of fish oil, there are still many other benefits of fish oil that are very well known. First of all, fish oil has been clinically proven to be able to significantly reduce blood triglyceride (fat) levels by 20 to 50%. In fact the FDA has even approved a certain brand of fish oil to be used as a treatment for high triglycerides (NIH, 2011). High triglycerides are known to be a risk factor for heart disease. Therefore, the reduction of such is beneficial for heart health.
Fish oil has also been studied as a treatment for many other diseases, some of which show a great deal of promise. These include high blood pressure, menstrual pain, stroke, osteoporosis, various forms of cancer, asthma, and psychological disorders (NIH, 2011).

Stacking Fish Oil

Fish oil can be stacked with almost anything. However, it is important to note that the effects of omega(la raie recette) 3s are antagonistic to that of omega 6s. In other words, too much omega 6 in your diet will negate the effectiveness of your omega 3 supplement. If you want the most out of your fish oil, it may be best to limit (but not cut out) your omega 6 intake.
