Unfamiliar Usages for Wine

  1. Wine is a kind of alcohol made by fermenting grapes. There is a large variety of red and white wines available in the market. You usually consume wine during a religious celebration that is a tradition for some or in parties. Wine is good to savour and you can drink wine while having food too. A normal intake of wine is beneficial for your health and does not cause any harm to your brain or body. Wine is also used while cooking a particular kind of food or french cooking as well as specialtype of chocolates. However, there are certain uses of wine that might be unfamiliar to you. Let's elaborate.
  2. There can be times that you have stored your bottle of wine for a longer duration, waiting for the right time to hit the cork. When you finally open the bottle, if it tastes too vinegary, do not drink or throw away this wine. The spoilt or left over wine can be used for several purposes that you never even thought of. If you accidentally drop red wine on your clothes or on the table cloth, you might not be able to possibly get rid of the stain. In such a situation, you can use the rest of the red wine as a fabric dye. Pour the wine in a bowl and let it boil on the gas stove for some time. Place in the fabric and stir it with a wooden spoon. Your fabric will get a permanent pink or mauve colour, depending on the kind of wine.

  4. Red wine possesses properties that work as a component to smoothen your skin too. Women can directly apply the red wine on their face or pour it in a bath tub before taking a bath in it. This will help clean and soften the skin. Many beauticians use red wine as a product during facial therapies because it vitalises the skin. The alcohol in the wine kills all the impurities. Hence, it can also be used for cleaning fruits and vegetables as well. If you immerse the fruits and vegetables in a bowl of wine for some time, then it will kill all the germs on the surface of these eatables.
  5. When white wine gets spoilt, it is on its verge of becoming vinegar. Vinegar is popularly known to be able to clean glass items. You can use this white wine to clean your glass windows, doors, mirrors and tables. It offers shine to the surface of the glass items, leaving behind no hints of stain. The alcohol in this wine also aids in cleaning the oil and grease stains on the floor. Simply pour white wine on the stain, leave it for some time and wipe it clean.
