An easy fudge recipe that was shared by Cacao Luxe Chocolatier

  1. An easy fudge recipe that was shared by Cacao Luxe Chocolatier.
  2. Chocolate fudge is a delicacy made with butter, cocoa powder, milk, and brown sugar. Fudge can be either layered or filled with nuts, raisins, mints, candy or just about anything you can think of. It can be made into solid squares or creamy squares. Which ever form you like it in, fudge can be made or bought in that way. There are even fudge squares that are not made of chocolate known as vanilla fudge. But, when we hear the word "fudge" we think immediately of the soft chocolate squares so many of us know and love

  5. Ingredients:

1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
    1 tablespoon salted butter
    1/2 teaspoon salt
18 oz chocolate (buy the best chocolate you can find - it should be a pure chocolate * see note below)
    1 teaspoon pure vanilla
  6. Preparation:

    1. Line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper or foil and set aside.Heat sweetened condensed milk, butter and salt in a medium low in a 2-quart saucepan.

2 In a separate container, pre-melt the chocolate in the microwave until completely melted and stirred - no lumps. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate in a microwave - use 30 second intervals, stirring at each break. When the sweetened condensed milk is warm and relaxed, pour all the chocolate in the saucepan with the milk.

3 Stir with a wooden spoon. The mixture will be thick as chocolate contains and then he will shine. When your mixture becomes shiny, add the vanilla and mix quickly. Remove from heat and immediately pour into prepared pan.

4 Allow to cool for s veral hours in the refrigerator before cutting into small squares. The fudge is best kept in an airtight container and eat within 4-5 days. This recipe can be doubled and put into a 9x13 inch dish.5A note on chocolate: Buy a high quality chocolate expensive retailer like Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. Chocolate chips or chocolate fondue sold are not good choices because they are stabilizers and a firmer fudge.
  8. Difference in Chocolate Fudge Candy and Gourmet Chocolate Fudge

  9. Gourmet Chocolate Fudge differs from normal Chocolate Fudge Candy due to the ingredients used and the production process.

The definition of Gour-met is "a connoisseur of fine food and drink". A gourmet is a person with discriminating taste in food and wine.

Therefore, we would expect that Gourmet Chocolate Fudge Candy would taste better and in today's society would also cost more.

Chocolate differences are based on the level of cocoa content, the cocoa origin and the craftsmanship involved in the chocolate making process.

The color will be consistent throughout in Gourmet Chocolate Fudge Candy. It will be creamy, extremely smooth, have a glossy appearance that is not marred by streaks and dots, is soft when you bite it, will break but not splinter and is most definitely not brittle. Gourmet Chocolate will have a rich aroma of cocoa.

Normal Chocolate Fudge Candy will be hard, brittle and when you let it melt in your mouth it will be a little grainy. It may splinter in your mouth when you bite it. You may also notice that it is a little white on the edges.
