Roasted Strawberries with Grand Marnier Grand Marnier is a liqueur that was created in 1880 by Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle. It is made from a blend of cognacs and orange distillate bitter.Grand Marnier is 40% alcohol (alcohol content 80). It is produced in different varieties, most of which can be eaten plain as a digestif or mixed drinks or desserts. In France, this is how to enjoy the most popular with, especially, pancakes or crepes Suzette with Grand Marnier. Strawberries contain phytochemicals that help prevent certain cancers. Strawberries contain too much vitamin C, more, even, than orange juice. Most berries are naturally sweet and require little effort to prepare. Just rinse them under water and serve for a nutritious snack or dessert. A cup of strawberries contains 100 mg of vitamin C, almost as much as a cup of orange juice. We need vitamin C for the functioning of our immune system and strong connective tissue. Strawberries also add a bit of calcium, magnesium, folate, potassium. In addition, it contains only 53 calories. One cup of blueberries offers a smaller amount of vitamin C, minerals and phytochemicals and contain only 83 calories. The same amount of cranberries has a similar nutritional value but contains only 44 calories. A cup of raspberries provides vitamin C and potassium and contains 64 calories. You can pick berries with similar nutrients such as loganberries, currants, gooseberries, cranberries, blueberries and black. For more information: http://www.Gourmandia.fr
